Spencer Dinwiddie, a Los Angeles Lakers guard, has struggled to adjust to life as a member of the Purple and Gold.
Throughout his first eight games in Los Angeles, his performance has been mediocre to subpar. However, as with many things, it takes time to adjust, and his time as a Laker is no exception.
While he has had both good and bad moments, his inconsistency is clear. In a recent interview with the media, including the OC Register’s Khobi Price, head coach Darivn Ham explained his advice to the 30-year-old guard. Here’s Ham explaining what he told Dinwiddie.
“I basically told him to be aggressive and let us figure it out around you,” Coach Darvin Ham said a few hours before Thursday’s home game
“I basically told him to be aggressive and let us figure it out around you,” Coach Darvin Ham said just hours before Thursday’s home game against the Washington Wizards. “He constantly penetrates the paint in search of the perfect pass or play for his teammates, which is fantastic. However, the defense will usually tell you what to do with the ball once you’ve penetrated.
“So just tell him to be aggressive. It was one play in front of our bench, second half he’s bringing it, and he ends up going into an EO attack, early offensive attack, and gets to the rim and finishes, and I yelled.
