The Los Angeles Lakers faced another difficult test at home on Monday night when they played the Oklahoma City Thunder, just a few days after suffering a defeat to the reigning NBA Champions. With a 42-17 record going into Monday, the Thunder were the top seed in the Western Conference.
The Lakers had a great opportunity to make a statement against OKC on Monday night after defeating the Thunder in two of their previous three meetings. The Lakers would firmly establish themselves as the club the Thunder did not want to face in the opening round if they prevailed.
