The five-star Class of 2026 linebacker from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., told 247Sports’ Anna Adams that he’s scheduled to travel to Tennessee on April 13 to attend its spring-ending Orange and White Game. The Vols are one of eight teams he will be visiting over the next five weeks, starting with a trip to Clemson on Wednesday
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Atkinson told Adams that he’s also set to visit Georgia on Thursday and Auburn on Saturday before heading to Ohio State on March 19 and Texas A&M on March 26. He plans to travel to Alabama on April 9 and Texas A&M April 11 before going back to Tennessee next month.
Atkinson, who’s originally from Knoxville, Tenn., has already visited the Vols several times since Tennessee coach Josh Heupel’s hiring more than three years ago. He most recently made the trip to Knoxville on Nov. 18 for the Vols’ game against Georgia, visiting Tennessee for the first time since he attended the Vols’ win over Alabama in October 2022.
He’s a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he’s ranked the No. 11 overall player and No. 2 linebacker in the 2026 class and the No. 1 sophomore from the state of Georgia. According to 247Sports, he’s a four-star prospect who’s ranked the No. 20 overall player and No. 2 linebacker in the 2026 class.
