Di Gegorio has been one of the outstanding young goalkeepers in Serie A for the past couple seasons.
The 26-year-old, who came through Inter’s youth academy, joined Monza on a permanent basis in the summer of 2022.
This followed two seasons on loan with the Brianzoli. He had helped them to promotion to Serie A.
And Di Gregorio has thrived in the top flight.
The Italian’s form has played an important role in Monza securing a comfortable place in midtable.
This has naturally led to some interest in Di Gregorio from some of Serie A’s biggest clubs.
AC Milan Want Di Gregorio As Maignan Replacement – But Inter & Juventus Also Keen
According to Tuttosport, Milan are eyeing Di Gregorio up.
The Rossoneri are considering the possibility of life without their current Number One.
Maignan, who joined Milan in 2021 to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, has certainly been one of if not the best keeper in Serie A since his arrival in the league.
The Frenchman played a key role in Milan winning the title in his first season at the club.
However, that means that there is a lot of transfer interest in Maignan from Europe’s biggest clubs.
So Milan are staying prepared for the possibility of the 28-year-old’s departure.
And according to Tuttosport, Di Gregorio is at the top of the Rossoneri’s list.
The 26-year-old would cost around €20 million.
But Inter would also see Di Gregorio as a target. The Nerazzurri are considering investing in bringing the Monza keeper back as a backup to Yann Sommer for next season, with a view to taking over the starting role from the Swiss international.
And Juventus see Di Gregorio as one of their main targets to replace Wojcjech Szczesny in the long term.
