Alabama Football looks like it has the running All in all, the running back trio of Miller, Haynes, and Young accounted for all four scores and nearly all of the yardage production for Alabama in to dominate college football after a special A-Day spring game performance on Saturday. The Crimson Tide always have special running backs, but new head coach Kalen DeBoer looked more than confident in his running game today, continually feeding them, finding consistent success with a talented trio of young stars-in-the-making
Miller then immediately followed up his long run by punching it on off left tackle for his second touchdown of the day. Miller also put together a few solid reps of pass protection, proving he’s a do-it-all, every down playmaker at running back. Justice Haynes impressed with a solid blitz pick up and 10-yard reception later in the game too, but Miller was the most impressive of the Alabama running back trio for much of the day.
All in all, the running back trio of Miller, Haynes, and Young accounted for all four scores and nearly all of the yardage production for Alabama in the A-Day game. Germie Bernard did connect with Jalen Milroe for one long play. Kobe Prentice hauled in a nice deep crosser from Ty Simpson. But overall it’s clear, the strength of the Crimson Tide is the run game right now.
If Miller, Haynes, and Young continue improving upon their already special skills, Alabama may have a running back trio that’s ready to dominate college football by this fall.
