4-star power forward Cade Phillips commits to Tennessee.
Chance Mallory, a four-star point guard in the 2025 class, will be taking an unofficial visit to Tennessee on Saturday, March 9th and will be in attendance for the Vols game against Kentucky.
This will be his first time visiting Knoxville. He’s also taken unofficial visits to Virginia, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and West Virginia.
The 5-foot-10 junior out of St Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, VA holds an offer from the Vols, along with schools like Indiana, Virginia, Villanova, Maryland and others.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Mallory is the No. 87 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No.
15 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3’s evaluators are higher on Mallory, ranking him 67th overall in the On3 Top-150 Player Rankings.
What Mallory is looking for in a school
In a previous interview with On3, Mallory discussed what he wants in his future college program.
“I like family, so I want to go to a program that is family-oriented and has a family atmosphere,” Mallory said previously. “No bad blood in the locker room.
I want to play in a play style that fits me too. I’m a point guard who likes to run fast, get in transition, make shots, and make plays with the ball in my hand.
