Syracuse forward Alyssa Latham has committed to Lady Vols basketball, adding a strong rebounder to new coach Kim Caldwell’s roster.
The 6-foot-2 freshman averaged 8.6 points and seven rebounds for the Orange. Latham led the team with 42 blocks and 224 total rebounds and started in 26 of the 32 games she played in. She was named to the ACC All-Freshman team.
Latham took an official visit this week to Tennessee.
Latham had career highs of 23 points on 9-for-10 shooting and 12 rebounds against Alabama as a freshman. She logged 12 rebounds again against Notre Dame, and she grabbed 10 or more rebounds nine times this season. Latham logged a career-high six blocks against Louisville.

Latham was a four-star recruit out of Homewood-Flossmoor High School, a suburb of Chicago. She was ranked No. 72 in the 2023 class by ESPN and was recruited by former Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper.
Latham is Caldwell’s first addition since being hired April 1.
Karoline Striplin, a 6-3 forward, who averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 33 games, with 11 starts, has entered the transfer portal.
